Hope someone can help, at present i have i believe an omega td ecu on my p38, i have got hold of a rr td ecu to replace it with, problem is when i put it on the car turns over but wont fire, does it need setting up to rest of car? will rovacom do this? thanks

? how the hell's it been running on another ecu???

In changing the ECU it will need to re-sync to the BECM......Rovacom, Faultmate or Testbook.

Not sure mate, what happened was had starting issues, someone moved original ecu and arked it out so blew it up, had an omega one laying about so tried it and worked fine, have now got an rr one and thought cpould swap straight back but as said only turning not firing, thanks for replies

If the Omega one works, why swop it out? The engine ECU can be set up from new to require an immobiliser code or to work without a code. The Omega one is presumably set to work without a code.

was only going to put rr one on because its meant to be on, since omega one fitted seems to hunt which it didnt before and doesn't seem to have quite as much power as before, apart from that its fine, a friend has a rovacom lite but not sure if he has engine software which i preume it would need, think he just got it for eas

You could phone here for some advice. They will check or fix as necessary & return your unit with a unique label & numbered report. Only handling charge if no work, but I found them happy to help & advise over the phone... dodgy looking website though but that is not their forte is it
