Autopost sell a complete re-build kit for V8s; rings, bearings, cam, followers, gaskets etc. At £250 it seems very good value for money. Anyone used one of these kits and if so, what was the quality like? Any problems at all?

I got a pair of Ring Xenon Ultima H4 +120% bulbs for my 90 last week and fitted them to the standard headlights. I paid £13.85 on Ebay from a company called Auto Saver and I'm amazed at the difference! Highly recommended and the best thing I've bought for my Landy ever.

If they're live rounds with bullets in the cases, just hand them in at your local gunshop. Explain how you came to have them and they'll be fine about it. No need to involve the police at all.

I run all my V8s on 20/50 and have never had a problem, it might be worth giving it a go.

Thanks for the advice. I'll make up a jig to hold the two end flanges in place and cut out the silencer and weld in a pipe, this way it'll bolt straight into the correct position.

A TVR went passed me today and I certainly want that sound track!

I'm about to transfer a stainless exhaust with tubular headers from one V8 to another. Is it worth replacing the large middle box with a straight through pipe to release a few more horses, or will it bugger up back pressure and ruin things? I like the idea of a more fruity V8 sound too...

Thanks for that, but I've sussed it. After a bit more searching, I've found out about the immobiliser spider fault. I've taken the plunger out of the solenoid, which gets the engine to run OK. I'll have to stall it to stop the engine for the moment though, but at least the bypass gizmo only...
