hi ive got a 2014 last gen freelander 2 2.2 automatic 6 speed now the gearbox is bust ive found an identical one i know there is an external ecu that i will just swap over but ive been told there may be an internal ecu that needs to be programed to the car ? does anyone know if this is true ...

Right it starts OK but I have to wait for a few minutes for the fuel gauge to work and if I put it in drive before the fuel gauge works it won't accelerate but if I put it back in park it all starts working OK?????
