    Chargecooler on a 90

Dunno if I'm so keen on a FMIC, heat dissipation into the rad and engine bay etc., and have been told that certain competition bodies will not allow them due to competitors having overheating problems in hot climates. I'm not competing in any way but I can appreciate the sentiment. A charge...

    Chargecooler on a 90

Anybody ever fit a chargecooler to a 200/300tdi or TD5? Was thinking of trying to get more power and understand how a larger intercooler would help but, gettin into the spirit of the Land Rover thang, I thought I'd try to bodge summat up. There are some very small, neat chargecoolers...

    winch problem

Hmmm...so if you reel in a little, then stop, then start again...it doesn't reel in the 2nd time? If you reel out a little then try reeling in again it works? Just trying to work out what's going on. Also can you put it under load and try it? Found the following on't web: Warn Motor Testing...

Is it under load whilst you are trying to reel in? Is it under load whilst you are reeling out?

    Picture of my new 110

I always felt I paid over the odds for mine but it had a lot of the "extras" I would have eventually forked out for and I know the chassis, body and engine are in good shape. Engine starts first time no hassle even after 3 weeks standing in the snow/rain and I've no welding or other feckin...

    By 'eck, them's expensive!

Bloody Simmonites! Like 'em or loathe 'em...they're bloody expensive. £10+VAT for changing a tyre between rims, £5+VAT per rim as an added extra when, after struggling to get the spare tyre off the rim...and not managing it...I refused to pay for the labour time. I had 4 rims done. The extra...

    90" Defender prices

Toby You can have rear wheel drive only...I've done it...but it does mean removing your front prop-shaft! As Sean says..."Because?" 4-wheel drive is a very cool thing to have....ask owners of very fast Audi Quattros and Scoobies!! :p

    Defender front axle types

I have discs on the rear. The chassis number, according to the V5 is MA..... and so should have the later axle. I know the 90 has had a rebuild so it could have been changed. The dust caps are the deeper type but I guess the deeper type could replace the shallower dust caps, but not...

    Defender front axle types

Morning All. Just had some Zu Rims fitted to the 90, (I'll take a couple of pics if anyone's interested). Hit a snag in that the Boost alloys I replaced used spacers, the Zu rims don't and the hub studs on the front axle were too long for the wheel nuts I was using. The hub studs were longer...

    Molybdenum..Slick 50...whatever in Gearboxes

I've had a mooch and done a few searches and find a LOT of conflicting views on the use of Molybdenum / PTFE type additives such as Slick 50 in your vehicle. Most say "no" to using it with engine oil but in gearboxes the results are less conclusive. So...anyone got any views or ever tried the...

    Lancaster Insurance ***READ ME***

Insurance is a bleedin minefield anyway...and it's often down to the "legal" peeps to actually decide the liability in the event of an accident...especially with a 3rd party. Still...gotta have it and I prefer to get quotes online and then confirm in person..taking name, date etc., cos I've had...

    Laning in Lancashire

From: UK Indymedia - Ding - Rooley Moor, valuing our South Pennine habitats and biodiversity In 2003 Rochdale Council was pressured by Chester-based solicitors to declare the stone setts and bridleway of Rooley Moor Rd an “Ancient Highway”. Such a quaint title may give the...
