Bloody Simmonites! Like 'em or loathe 'em...they're bloody expensive.
£10+VAT for changing a tyre between rims, £5+VAT per rim as an added extra when, after struggling to get the spare tyre off the rim...and not managing it...I refused to pay for the labour time. I had 4 rims done.
The extra £5 was for balancing...I'd paid for that once in the tyre change cost.
Wouldn't be quite so bad but I also had to buy 10 new wheel nuts because of the longer studs on the front axle. That counted for nowt!
Just taken the spare wheel to local fitter who had no hassle removing and swapping the tyre between rims and charged £5 all in, including the balancing.
Lesson learned!
