i need to change the gasket on my td5 transfer box. It is the plate near the drain hole. It looks easy enough but there are 2 nuts and tread also holding on the plate. Is it ok to just undo the nuts, are they just locating points to make sure the plate goes back in the right place and right way...

hi all, I managed to get some landy safari 5000 spot lights at the weekend and went to have a look at the old wiring that one of the owners had put in. It seems to be a mis match of land wiring as it has the right plugs and wire colouring for the lights. But no switch, so they would have come on...

hi all. Went to change the fuel filter on my td5 as it was the same colour as rust. Took the guard off and filter was hanging by its pipes. The damn thing had disintegrated at the 2 fixing bolts. Strange thing is the 2 bolts actually came out ok. So cleaned them up and put copper grease on them...

i am going to change the rocker cover gasket as it is leaking especially over the alternator. So I thought while I am in there I'll change the injector loom. I have seen a few about at the £30-£40 and then the original LR ones. So will either do or go for original.

As title says I have just got myself a 90 td5 04reg. Had a 200tdi about 7 years ago so no stranger to defenders except to the td5 engine. Until I can get pictures up it is Oslo blue with boost alloys it looks standard apart from the Manteca snorkel. Bought it of a guy who has his own business...
