hi all. Went to change the fuel filter on my td5 as it was the same colour as rust. Took the guard off and filter was hanging by its pipes. The damn thing had disintegrated at the 2 fixing bolts. Strange thing is the 2 bolts actually came out ok. So cleaned them up and put copper grease on them. Then there was the dilemma of finding a new filter housing. I can not see any difference it the housing that says up to 3A and from 3A ,chassis number mine is a 4a. As price really varies. Only difference I could see some have the water sensor attached and some don't. So took the plunge and orders a cheaper one from a landy dealer that said it will fit a 04. So it there any difference between the 2 types of filter housings. Marty

I dunno if it is any use to you, but there's some discussion of the fuel filter housing question on my thread about my TD5 failing to start from last year https://www.landyzone.co.uk/land-rover/td5-woes-any-bright-ideas.272705/ around about page 3. There seem to be quite a few part numbers and superseded items when I was looking for the correct component. Mine is a 2006 model (so probably identical to the 2004) without a water sensor.
