i have had this problem after a service, the only filter that i did not change was the fuel fitter under the rear driver side arch. whwn i changed it the problem at 70mph went away. the filter collapses and stops the fuel. hope this helps... 52 plate tdi

the knocking noise only happens when you brake and some time happens louder when you totaly stop. it sounds like a metal noise.....:mad: thanks anyway

white smoke: i had the same problem with me 52 td4 it needed the filters changing (oil filter, cranke case filter) then the white smoke stopped. try it, its cheaper than an turbo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i had the same problem all it was (on mine 52 tdi) was the fuel filter. changed it the problem has now gone. did the dealer bit could be this could be that. a little back street garage sorted it.......

if you remove the earth clip first buy pushing out with a flat head screwdriver then the fuel fitter will then fall out. I found this out the hard way............

fitted k and n filter to my 2002 td4 auto as old one was very dirty. not sure if proformace improved but worth the money easy to clean when needed and will save you money in the long run!!!!!!!!!!
