does any one know if the td4s on a 52 plate have a after burner for the left over fuel after start up, if thay do where is it fitted and is it some thing that i might be able to change my self. thanks in advance

or does any one know why im getting grey smoke the 1st time you pull away then when its warmed up you get no smoke!!!!!!!!!!!!

dunno about your first question, but the answer to the second is that something is getting left in your exhaust after you turn the engine off, and it burns off after a few minutes when you start it again - probly oil, but judging by your first question... fuel?

Hi m8,
try disconnecting your egr valve by pulling off the small pipe and blanking it off with a screw. If you feel like going one step further take the unit off and give it a good clean internally as they can get full of sludge.

You having fun turning it over/getting it started in the first place? Me Xedi's doing exactly the same.****e when cold, no probs an fires first time when warmed up. Cud be either air being sucked into yer fuel lines/duf fuel pump/duf injector suckin air in. Grey smoke is normally due to lean burn, ie too much air an not enuf fuel.If it were oil gettin in she'd be burnin white near as dammit continuous. Rich burn gives yer the black smoke, ie unburnt fuel leadin to soot.
