 dont fit after market parts..!!!...

i had a knocking noise when i touched the brake, had the noise for 8 months 4 garages looked at the landy 2 being main stealers but could not find the fault. went in to quick fit and they had a look and said that the person/company that had changed the pads had fitted after market pads and they are moving in the holders, they fitted new landy parts and the knocking has gone.................................

very true. . . . .:)

I had that with a Discovery. Every time the pads nipped the disc, they rotated forward slightly casuing a knocking sound. You could literally grab the pads and shake them about in the holders!!!!

be aware - the disco calipers are renowned for wearing away and allowing the pads to slide forward and rest against the hubs!!!! new calipers is the only option.

Make sure this int your problem:eek:.

KICK FIT I mean kwik fit are useless,

There is a design fault in the FL1 calipers, even the LR pads knock about, especially braking on reverse, or braking just after a reverse manoevre.

You'll find it was the lack of shim that made it more noticable, although shimmed pads do it as well, not as much:rolleyes:
