Hello I have a defender gearbox and I am fitting a 200tdi engine from a discovery 1 to go in. Is the pressure plate from the discovery the same as a defender pressure plate. This is all being fitted into my series 2a. Thanks for the help in advance Kevin

My landy broke down at the weekend. Starter motor failed. So I have removed the wings and the seat box and the floor and the doors. I am going to fit my TDI engine and gearbox in. :)

Well got into the gearbox that I got from ebay cheap. That's why it make a noise in reverse then.

Started to take apart the gearbox i won on ebay. Could not find my cir-clip pliers so i could only get so far in. The small bits of metal floating around is not a good sign. Going in tonight when i find my pliers. Pictures to follow........

Well got my engine rebuiltand fitted today. The person who rebuilt it last time missed out loads of bolts and washers. This is the first rebuild I have done where I have had to buy extra bolts and washers. Never mind just the last few bits to go on now, and then ican tackle the wiring nightmare...
