Does anyone do 17 inch offroad tyres to run on a freelander 2 in bad weather. Also what is the cheapest wheel option to fit a freelander 2 to mount the offroad tyres.

How is the dust seal held in the caliper.

Does the caliper piston have to come out to replace the outer torn dust seal or do i leave alone as i am not leaking brake fluid.

I found that when running 38 rear i wasted a pair of 18 inch goodyear wranglers as it was obvious the centres were wearing. i have run the replacements at 28 rear and look to be getting even wear.

Thanks Datatek, the fan stops without any effort.Do you know if the fan and viscous unit will come out of the fan cowl and up through the space at the top of the engine if i take the black plastic cover off that is held on by two allen bolts.

What is the best way to check if the viscous fan coupling is working correctly. When i start up from cold the fan is pulling lots of air through the radiator but when i check it after a hard drive the fan looks to be running at a fraction of the engine speed and not much airflow in the engine bay.

As my a/c has many problems and has never worked for me i was thinking of re wiring the fans as extra summer cooling fans to help whilst towing.

Are the air con fans designed to switch on as radiator cooling fans if the engine temp rises above normal as i tow a large horse box that makes the engine work especialy in head winds. Temp is always normal when not towing but guage runs higher when towing.
