Yes, it can. Mind that it only rotates to a certain point in either direction. The two big terminals in the connector are the motor terminals, other are for position sensors.

Yep, original one is a joke. No way one could undo the nuts with it. I always carry full toolbox and a 0.6m breaker bar. You never know :)

Softop, you could have a worn out in-tank pump. Mine primed the system in well under a mintute with an empty fuel filter. You just need to undo the banjo on the FIP a bit until it primes..

Thanks guys, that really was easy. Bleeding the clutch took 5 minutes, easiest bleeding of my life. And it cured the problem, better still, the clutch pedal has far more feel to it than before.

It is really simple. Put a container under the old filter (a cut off 1,5 L bottle will do), unscrew the old filter. Put some diesel on the rubber gasket on the upper part of the new filter, screw it only hand tight. Undo the bolt (either straight or banjo) where the pipe from the fuel filter...

Not all P38a's have TC. Mine (1995 basic spec DT) sure doesn't have it, and it also doesn't have the TC lamp. BUT, if it has the TC lamp, it should also have the TC.
