Praying P38

I walked out to the P38 yesterday and found that it was on its knees, praying - I think praying to the God of Dunlop - "Please can I have some new airbags"



(sorted itself out when I started it, but slightly baffled as to how the springs could become empty at front and full at rear, some valve block peculiarity I guess!)

If the rate of fall due to a leak exceeds a certain level, it seems that the EAs does not try to self level. That was my experience when i had an airspring problem.

I’ve the same problem. The front drops the back stays up. New front airbags. No joy. No connection going into the valve block is leaking. It's leaking somewhere in the valve block. I’m sure. Or maybe an air pipe cut somewhere where you can’t spot it (unlikely).

Interesting indeed. On mine the back drops and the front stays up, but then sometimes the car just goes to the bump stops when parked overnight. I suspect one of the rear sensors, as the car hunts for a correct ride height when in highway mode. Could it be related? Does the car actually level itself out (like a bubble level, horizontal) or it just goes to the same height on all wheels?

I read somewhere that swapping left/right sensors could do the trick if the sensors are worn. I reckon that the EAS would need a recalibration afterwards, is that true?
