When i turn the steering wheel when reversing slowly out of the drive, the steering wheel only goes to a certain point. Then, after reversing a little more, the steering wheel allows for few degrees more of turning.
The steering arm to wheel ball-joints have been replaced.

Tires are getting scuffed on the outside edge a bit, but the VC is ok. Could the problem be in the drag link or some bushings?

Thanks,
Crt

Well, yes, the car is rumbling when driving (gets pretty shaky at about 100 kph). Any idea how to check which CVJ is gone, apart from taking them off the car. I already did one front wheel bearing and the major pain is getting the wheel hub off the car.

Does it do this on both locks? If you are turning to full lock on whichever side, steering should reach the lockstops. After that no more deflection of wheels should be possible. Play can only be in steering box, steering box linkage, drag link or hub swivels. If you have feathering on outer edges of tyres, swivels would seem favorite. Also have a look for play in panard rod bushes. Play there would allow axle to move side to side.
