if on resistance it sound like you have air in the system is there any fluid in the reservoir? if not you have a leak check for leaks if non re bleed system an see if that helps before you go jumping in taking the gearbox out cos you will end up with fat knackers cos they are fookin heavy

My daughter has named my 110 rattle box but when she is not around its oil leaking rusty piece of crap an my p38 is yo-yo cos the fookin suspension is up and down like one :D

hello mate just had exactly the same problem with mine and it was a leaking front air bag now replaced both the front bags all is well AT THE MOMENT £115.00 quid from island 4x4

leeeeve it did mine on my p38 an it stripped the threads on the way off. if it can go wrong it will go wrong i think it is a land rover thing just get the pipes and the oil cooler first so you have it all before you start

if you have no luck on flea bay i have a disco box with out a transfer box you can have if you wont to come and fetch it could do with a referb tho but has bell housing and good imput shaft not long replaced apparently just let us know if ya wont it

sounds like an earthing fault try cleaning the earth points cos as all good land rovers they do like to rust as mine is no exception
