They are extended bump stops. Exact size I`m not sure.

Hi guys Last time I went off roading at Yarwell P`boro, I managed to dislocate a rear spring. Jacked it up and put it back, but can`t afford proper dislocation cones just yet so have fitted jubilee clips around top coil at front and rear. This was recommended as a cheap and cheerful solution...

Right Adz, no its all the way when accelerating with boost up to about 15-17 on gauge and doesnt stop `til I take my foot off the gas. Oily olly...The EGR is blanked off, and jamie, mine is just like yours BUT I dont like it :o, and would like to clean it up a bit if I can. Anyone got any ideas ?

Yep, did a service not long ago, it was fine then, surprisingly clean actually. So not that.

When I accelerate in any gear, the old gal belches black fumes............... lots of it. :( Now, there is no loss of power, everything is fine there. But it is fekin antisocial. I`m told its `cos its running rich and just burning off excess fuel, so can I lean it of without affecting the running?

My mates total strip down of his 1987 n/a 90, with 300tdi engine + gearbox going in, is going well with just the odd problem here and there. Footwell and other bits replaced ( why does nothing fit anymore?). Chassis and bulkhead with a couple of other small bits, are going for galvanising on...

Has anyone out there got a gearbox tunnel for a 300tdi going spare, that they want to sell on? Needs to be in decent condition please. As an afterthought, would a td5 one fit a 300tdi?

Phoned all your comments to my mate, which he thanks you all for, especially info from bmp42. However, unbeknown to me he`s been to a breakers this p.m. - without any luck. So decided to buy the steel he needs and is gonna weld one up himself. Once again, thanx all for your input. :high5:

Mine is box section. My mate, who its for, took a round one off his `89 n/a 2.5 and feels this is the wrong one. Does the box section have bolt on to gearbox facility?? I`ll mention the TD5 one, thanks for that. If he`s interested I`ll get back to you, cheers.

Ordered a 300tdi gearbox crossmember from our local `expert` 4x4 shop for £58 a week ago. It came today, but it is round, not box section. So its going back for a refund. The cost of the one we really want is, (after VAT), £170 odd ......:eek: So, we have three choices.....1) ask you guys if any...

On full lock in, either direction, I hear a hissing sound. :eek: I have checked for snakes living down there, and none evident ;) Is this the PAS pump, and is it normal ? Or is the noise indicative of a possible leak? Cheers guys.

My Def 90 has got a 3-4" rust hole in an outrigger which will become 6-7" when cleaned back to clean metal. Its the front nearside, and the back surface. Access in situ, is impossible. The rest of the chassis `appears` ok........... so far :rolleyes: So what bodywork do I have to remove to get...
