    TD5 MAP sensor

Ive had an on-going vibration at tickover on the Disco2 On the advice on Big lad and others, ive cleaned the MAP sensor, it was covered in a tarry mess, It seems a wee bit better, not right, but better, although it seems the inlet manifold is covered in the same muck. Is it worth...

    Disco 2 tickover

Thanks GUys, The egr is long gone, the tickover reads approx 600rpm, and whilst its better when shes warmed up, the vibration still there, but not to the same degree. I have had this for a while, it did seem a very gradual thing though, as opposed to starting all of a sudden I'll spray the...

Re Map ? Yes or No

I have though about this for a while too, thing is, mines an auto, and its the worst autobox ive used in my driving life, too revvy and changes in the wrong palces I know the upgraded torque converter from Ashcroft, is supposed to be a great job, but without that, would the performance...

    Watts linkage, assessing play

Thanks dave, Ive done exactly that, rubbers etc are ok, and i always find it hard to assess these sorts of bushes anyway, so they can stay there till they knock Ive still a wander to the left, and the wheel alignment computer is showing the rear axle sitting slightly to the right, i think...

    Watts linkage, assessing play

Hi All, Has anyone a guide to assessing the play in the Watts linkage bushes? Mine are free enough, and when the arms are in a vice and pulled, there is no play to be felt, but im wondering if they can still be worn. Obviously i dont want to spend £150 on 3 bushes unless i have to! ive...

    Shuttle valve switch failure

Unclipping the lines from the bulkhead helps lift it a wee bit more, u can get a 1/4 drive socket in underneath.
