I'd love those tool boxes, unfortunately the wife feels that they're a bit extravagant for my workshop or garage.
I have half a dozen cheap roller cabs with top boxes instead, and a couple of sturdy home made benches to work on.

I do put my tools neatly away when I've finished the job I'm doing, but until then, the tools will be piled up around the thing being worked on.

Failed the MOT.

Only the back box though so not too bad at all. How tricky are they to get off?

Did one last weekend.
Remove clamp, small chisel or large screwdriver tapped in all the way around the joint to flare the scrap pipe.
Chisel and drift it off giving a gentle rotate when it moves.

Spray wd40 into the joint helps.

Prise off rubbers and fit new.

It's nothing a man of your saliva cannae manage! When the new one arrives, you'll have it fitted before your belly is looking for lunch.

It seems there are a select few of us with our annual roulette at this time of year

Bought a 12 ton hydraulic press. Paid for itself when fitting replacement trailing arm bushes. £10 a pair instead of £120.

Wrote some helpful information on my rear diff, in preparation for installing it tomorrow.

And received a delivery of oil for the diff and PTU.

I have changed the old and dirty door cloth for black leatherette

Got the new back box on. Retest booked for Monday morning.

Mine included. My MOT elapsed on December 18th, but sadly due to the diff issue, I couldn't get it done.

Hopefully the diff will be back in today, so I can concentrate on replacing the front brakes, in preparation for the MOT Monday week.

It looks much better than the old cloth.
I put a relief in the gap around the upholstery, so you cover what you don't want to see ... some small finishing flaw. This relief is unglued because I have tried it in different colors and it improves a lot. Maybe in the future I will change it for another color and aye it is very easy to remove and put on.

I'm not going to lie to you, while I admired the workmanship of your previous upholstry with the brown vinyl door cards, I disliked the colour, but the black is more to my tastes, and the finish is very good, so this gets a double thumbs up from me!

I'm impressed. That's a cracking job. I have the Alpaca interior and the cloth bit on the front door cards is looking too tatty for me so I might follow your lead if I can find some decent matching leatherette.

It's nice to have her mobile again.
The diff is in, and working quietly, which is more than can be said of the front brakes, which are juddering badly. I knew they were knackered, which is why I bought replacements.

That's next weekend's job, then off to the MOT she goes.
