Mine was negeltected and still looked and felt great. Could sit in em all day. And did. Shame they were the baby poo brown colour though. I dont get the hot and cold thing for leather. Unless its black its not gonna heat up and they warm up quicker than material when cold.

My cream leather seats are scalding if left in the sun, the old RRC seats were luke warm ;)

A personal observation lol

It was a choice between that one and another with grey leather, leather had ripped on the bolster and was full of cracks.

Carpet was mank too!!

my original defender black leather would literally burn you, ‘98 one had this plasticy grey stuff
Velour is very comfy I’m surprised after 25 years is like new. Is like driving around in 3 piece suite

Living here doesnt matter the colour of the leather you burn yourself...the P6 i'm restoring had cream leather seats totally wrecked by the sun even the foams...got second hand black velour sent from UK even came with headrests...

Indeed! nice work @Shippers - That really should have its own project thread :)

Thanks guys...once the scuttles done i've nearly finished a rottiserie to spin it over to repair rear most sills it's only the last 6inch thats gone...complete refurb of running gear already done instruments...but leaving all outer panels original paint...

That's good! Biggest mistake I made with my RRC was to have the front and rear wing panels repainted for no real reason whatsoever... Luckily, I left everything else original, except the lower tail gate (wasn't color matched to begin with and had some rusty spots).

Original paint jobs are such a beautiful and rare thing!

Both my current projects as found...keeping P6 paint original as panels solid but just love the patina of the original paint...101 gone for Kawàsaki Ninja Green...you don't drive an ex-military vehicle in Morocco in army drab green...when I eventually get it there... @Henry_b hope you don't mind going off topic...

Kawasaki Ninja Green! I'd love to see that! True about Marocco, maybe one day we stumble over each other! Just have to convince my wife, she's not that motivated to spend three weeks in a Range Rover and tent...

Good luck with both projects!
