Every Volvo I ever had, even the most recent one, just worked. No faffing about, no worries about will it go or not. ................
I only stopped buying Volvo , when they started to look like every other car on the road

I had a go In a XC90.. not a bad performer.. just a big flumpy looking car.. great engine the 2.5tdi 5cyl though. I did have years ago have a 740 GL 2.1/2.3? saloon. What a tank but at 23mpg it wasn't an economical beast. It was like tardis inside.RTFP

Let's hope @Land_girl, famous for attracting record numbers in her threads doesn't get on here telling us she is considering purchasing an Evoque or has found a fella with an Evoque, couldn't imagine what kind of an uproar that would cause with the holy RR worshiper group, that could turn into a marathon thread.

And here I am living in hope, Evoque still holding good resale value here so far, them and Defenders.Yes, and that will mean that there should be masses on sale very cheap second hand in a few years, for those that do fancy trying one.

XC90 is a non Volvo, Volvo. So I've never been interested. Admittedly I owned a Ford Volvo, when I had the C70 convertible. Nice though it was, it was clearly not a Volvo, in any way.
