Easy Tiger..... :D

We have to be very careful on taking the rise out of the Freelander....

The Freelander, along with the Later Series Vehicles, the 110, The Defender, The Discovery, The Range Rover Classic and the L322 Range Rover all proved themselves in either the Camel Trophy or the G4 Challenge....and conquered their adversities will aplomb.

The P38 Range Rover was never subjected to such gruelling challenges.....they did do a odd Yellow/Orangey/Yellowy coloured Range Rover called the Range Rover TREK for some 'competition' in South Africa - but that wasn't exactly the wilds of Madagascar or Borneo etc....mostly dusty roads and a few hills.....

The Freelander has earned it's place in the Pantheon of Land Rover - even if it is driven by hairdressers - but they are hairdressers with spirit and adventure!
Anyone know why it never went on the camel trophy?

The L322 doesn't usually default to dragging it's ass on the ground like an itchy dog,

And nothing to do with camel, but it's bags don't fall out on a 2 poster either.

I bet a Freelander can't flex like that ;)
The important bit ere is "turned into". That's not original spec. It's heavily modded to something it's not, when first out the factory. Each to their own. Doing that to yer daily ride isn't something most would do. Even if yer put tracks on a Freelander to improve its go anywhere ability, yer could still get it stuck. Very few of these "challenge" type vehicle are driven as a daily ride.

Yes and i doubt the camel trucks were used as daily rides after their challenges were done..

This just demonstrates what a P38 can become.
