Any clues how I can wire a rear dash-cam to my Freelander 1 ?
If I need to take the roof liner off, how do I do that ?
Many thanks.

Take an ignition feed from the PDC wiring, or an accessory feed from the centre console. This is assuming it's a FL1 facelift.

Why are you messing with the headlining? That's not the easiest thing to be playing with.

I'm guessing he's thinking of hiding the power cables above the headlining. It's easier to root the cables under the carpet, then behind the plastic of the rear pillar, out the top of the pillar then poke them under the edge of the headlining until they end up in the middle of the window at the top.

That's the only way IMO.

Dash cam: pull of the A pillar plastic cover, remove the sun visor and the interior light assembly. Take a power feed from the cig' lighter across under the glove box and up to the A pillar you could tape it to the pillar and pop the cover back on... then remove the sun visor, and carefully thread the cable over to the light fitting. That's pretty much how I did it for the front.

Rear: I ran a power feed from the rear power socket [ I also added a aux power outlet in the right side of the luggage area.] Then up behind the corner plastic shroud, and it tucks in under the window rubber and the trailing edge of the hood lining. I've put pic's in my write up about my FL1 here - scroll down...

Took my power feed off reversing lights, soon a reverse selected camera and monitor fire up, lovely picture, park as close as 6" to what ever is behind, camera installed in number plate surround, cable feed front to back under trim
