There's no external Aux input on the back of the unit, mostly because the HU isn't a head unit, it's just a small part of the system. The audio system is split into many different modules located around the vehicle. From memory the Aux socket goes to the amplifier module.
The Aux socket in the console is easily replaced, as it's a standard Ford part.
