Hi All,
Just a quick post, today I fitted a Slickshift kit to my 90 and I have to say that I am very impressed.
The throw on the shift is significantly reduced which makes for a much nicer drive.
The kit is nice and easy to install with some basic tools and YouTube.
I wish I had done it sooner!

First thing I did to mine after getting it having seen the Teisbaek TV guys on YouTube fit one and rave about it. Really good modernising piece if kit. One of the pins came out of mine - emailed the company and they sent a new one by return FOC - great service too. I'd certainly recommend it to anyone.

Surely fitting one of these defeats the point of owning a land rover, the whole point is they are not "modern" and easy to drive. I think removing the feeling of stirring lumpy porridge would detract from the overall character, and if you think the defender throw is bad you should try a series!

Plus I like the fact that you have to move it all the way across into the passenger's lap to get 1st or reverse gives me an excuse to feel-up the mrs :D:D

I'd agree there Jimsky! The guys from Tirsbaek fit some very tasteful mods, especially the slickshift. It is on my list of mods to do. :)

I would not go as far to say that it makes it modern to drive, just more useable.
Long journeys would give me lots of grief on my elbow.

Well if it keeps you driving it then that has to be a good thing.
