I took my two week old L405 out on the Discovery Birthday run yesterday and drove across the deer park at Mount Edgecombe. http://www.discoverybirthdayparty.co.uk
Being at the very back of the convoy and knowing that it could get slow and a bit muddy, I put it in low range. The instruments instantly morphed (which was spectacular in itself!) from this:
to this...
None of this was in any of the sales bumph. How brilliantly simple is giving it a 60 mph speedo when in low range? (ignore the mpg figures, it's usually around 27-28 on the lieometer!)
I've reported this on the L405 site and been met with the forum equivalent of blank looks. I'm not sure that anyone knew that they had a low range option on the car, or even knows what it does. I'm guessing that none of that is going to be a surprise here...
PS: Here's how it looked mid way through its second week, so we're not all looking for a space outside Waitrose (before you say it...)
