This week I found my landy ACE warning light flashes red with audible chime after driving a few minutes, and a few minutes later it keeps red, audible chime is gone. I stopped and restarted my car, the warning light is gone. But it comes back again after a while. Any ideas of how to diagnose it?
Thanks in advance!
Kai

First of all make sure there is fluid in the tank, if it is it must circulate hard in the tank with engine running, if it's steady or eventually foamy the pump is gone, if it's OK you need to read the fault code, what ever you do dont drive it with empty tank cos you'll ruin the pump .

I just found the ACE fluid level is very low, but circulating fast. I don't know why the fluid level is very low. I don't see serious the fluid leak but small damp area at the ACE. Maybe I should change the ACE filter.

Yes that would be a good move, or at least clean it with petrol and if you dont know what's in the system better drain it and put the dedicated stuff STC50519, 2l should ne enough

You can have this error when the valves do not operate fast enough, does it come on when cornering?

Yes, it is easy to come on when cornering. I found there is oil/fluid stain on ground near driver side front tyre where two low pipes connected to ACE are damp. I suspect the fluid leak happens there. I wonder if I can fix it by DIY.

Here is a picture showing the fluid bleeding. It looks like it was caused by erosion. I don't know if it is possible to DIY this section of pipe.

Today, I went to a garage for a quote. They asked 500£ for 4 hours labour. What surprised me is they told me it's the cold climate pas pipes by calling Land Rover dealer Although I told them it is ACE pipe leak. They don't know about ACE. Although the cost is reasonable, I suspect they are competent to repair LR. Another garage told me it needs 5-10 hours labour.
Any one knows a good garage to repair LR near Reading? Thanks!

The PAS and ACE pipes run through the engine bay and can spring a leak.

May be worth pressure washing the lot and looking for fresh oil leaks.

Mine was CCF fluid dripping off the valve block

DO NOT REMOVE the ACE system as it is well worth having
