Gary would not MPG and MPT (miles per tank) be the same? just saying. Is the tank half full or half empty?

No, because some people brim their tank up the fill tube and may run well low, then fill ...

Others are more cautious and only fill to first 'click' on the pump gun and run it down till the low-fuel light comes on .... you can guess a couple of gallon either way to that on a big tank ...

According to Gary's question what do you get from a tank. So it would be safe to say the tank is full. so a full take being driven to empty would equate to mpg as being equal. so a 20 gallon tank you get 400 miles out of it, would be 20mpg so it is the same question just asked a different way

aplogises i think i worded it wrong, assumed tank sizes were be different it was a very open question

maybe i should have put miles per gallon instead of per tank

trust me to be the awkward one, lol

have altered the question

To be honest gary, i don't think the mpg has changed from model to model. The general consensus is that they all get around 28mpg with mixed driving (give or take depending on driving style)

Mega open question, boot loaded with tools+useful crap, type of tyres, type of roads driven on, time of day driven, type of journeys taken, time of year, auto/manual/petrol/diesel, fat bar steward driver, speeds driven at etc
