I’ve owned a 109 ser 3 for several years now. Like most land rover owners I have a car for the daily run to work etc. Since changing jobs and commuting on the train I decided to sell the car and rebuild a SWB so I could keep my non claims bonus running.

LWB running well and swb getting very close to MOT readiness… And the other half buys a small trailer tent! Now I need to keep the car for weekends away where speed comfort and economy are key.

So Back to the Main question, what is the big problem with free landers ?

After you spend countless hours trying to repair them you'll know why we call them names ! They are a sad excuse of a vehicle usualy purchased by people who simply don't know better !! They soon learn !!!
Gayest 4x4 by far !!!!
They do burn very well though ! So I'm told !!!!

And if the person buying it did know better and still wanted to buy a Td4 for his Missus, what then?:eek:

budget for a vcu/bearings ird and check it has all the drive train intact

I've got to wait until I know about the parking issues before I change the Chav box for a gaylander. :(

so your metro gaylander sexual- I will have to check your 110 for a secret stash of gaylander weekly.

Still as long as you don't lust after a k series:eek:

So long as you make sure all the tyres are evenly worn there's no reason the vcu or ird will need replacing. Mines done 100, 000 miles and never been replaced on a "04" model.

one post and experience says your not correct of the gaylander boys

Simple! The freelander is the pretty boy of the landy family. The defenders and disco boys are jealous of its good looks so just assume it's gay! :D
no get your facts right its not a proper land rover with no low range gear box it comes as standard with hgf curling tongs and rollers it is an excuse for a land rover its just an abomination that is wrong

Huh, mines missing the hair curlers. Does have a lion bar storage though. And strange little cubby holes that are to small to feasibly be used for anything... is that where I'm supposed to put my fake nails to dry? :p

The gay bit comes from the old meaning of happy coz we are always smiling as we drive past all the disco and defender drivers sat at the side off the road trying to figure out what bit has just dropped of or stopped working on their motors :D:behindsofa:

freelnders are amazing compared to anything else in their class. compared to a real offrader they are lacking. so its an internal joke but I would rather drive a gay lander than a Jimmy vitara crv or any other jap crap. jeeps suck anor!

They are ace little cars, good fun.

What's wrong with being gay?

Cheers
