Install nav free on your phone, add a point of interest where you park. When you're done, if your lost, navigate to your point of interest.

You turn it on in carpark wait a few mins. You can record location and waypoints. Then if you get lost it can navigate you to the carpark or point you in right direction.

For future reference, if you had come off without knowing location might have had problems eh. Also you can download gps app but that will just pinpoint position.

If you are remote and have problems ie need ambulance, police. Dial 112. Its a direct line so they can triangulate it also uses roaming signal so works anywhere.

Thanks CM, good advice for a muppet like me, you're right if I'm on me own and take a tumble in the middle of nowhere, need to be prepared :eek:
 
Fitted the injectors I took off the donor 200tdi sat in the shed, I knew that they were ok and fitted them to mine, which had a really lumpy idle when cold. So if the lumpiness was still there, it would have indicated a fuel pump problem! BONUS, runs better after trying it this morning and no more lumpiness :D Good job I didn't try to take the fuel pump off for no reason :)
 
Took it for a blast to see if any airlocks. Hmm. Need to tighten oil pipes on rad. Lil leaky at heat.

Ordered thermostatic rad fan as got quite warm without one.

Turbo seems a little late coming in so maybe have a leak coming into turbo? New air hose and performance air filter enroute.
 
put tax on her and roof off and took her out for a spin to see me dad on his 73rd birthday and then a gentle green lane and a ford before going home and putting her back in the garage

Nice to know people are keeping the technical side of maintenance going. :)

I personally wiggled me Discos side indicators 'cos the leads are corroded and the bulbs only work when pushed in to one side .. :cool:
 
Re-fitted the my lightbar and spotlights after making a little wiring loom up .. they now work! Come on with high beam, but when i get a decent switch I'll wire them so I can choose coming on with high, not coming on at all, and coming on, on their own! I think these will be fine for what I want, I don't want to light a runway up or anything, just make it a bit easier to see down hills and holes when laning/playing .. ;)
