Somebody stole my bonnet last night.

I have one of these set ups and they are bloody good, set up is long winded but they work well. Set them to motion activated and use the setting to blank sections of the frame off so that it doesn't pick every car up that goes past.
Mine covers pavement but not road to save memory (approx 10days continuous.)

Does this come with the BNC cables do you know???

Thanks

I needed one cable at £10 and an adaptor that cost a couple of quid, looked on maplin website but nowt rings a bell, staff in my local branch are generally pretty good tho if you ask.

Is it a Puma bonnet, mine's a 95 reg but obviously a rebuilt one-off?

Gotta ring around today and try and find a replacement and as it's not a standard looking one that sort of information is useful.

Given the shape of mine is it a special type or just a standard puma?

standard puma (unless it was fibreglass). It's known as the 'power bulge'.

It had to be incorporated cos with the standard defender bonnet there wasn't enough room otherwise

BNC connectors are only a few pence, you will need Male and female (cue one of our ladies:p) high quality co-ax is only nesssssesarrry if you are covering one end of a school to another (guess how I know, and NO I AM NOT F'in HUNTLEY) but with the digital switchover nobody is selling cheap cable anymore.

Just bought the 540TVL one as I have had some unwanted visitors recently and 4:30am I heard the land rover bonnet go and gravel kicked on the drive way- by the time I got out there they had gone- also things go for a walk every so often.
Said it is 2 tb upgradeable.

Would some super high power spot lights not help to deter them too ?

anything over 100w the neighbors will bitch, I prefer smack first ask questions later approach:D

I'm 95% sure I know who has been filching round my place, just yet to catch them in the act.

Got two options really, make your own if you have the licence for a shotgun and the reloading gear, or buy them

If not and if you're careful the third option would be to do it topgear style and hack up some small fireworks then stick them to a mousetrap with some flint and string :p

Ha. I live in suburbia so that's not really an option.

What I've done instead, is to start letting my two German Shepherds sleep in the living room instead of locking them in the kitchen like I used to do. Sheba, the oldest and grumpiest prefers to lie right underneath the window and can basically see my Defender on the drive now. Anyone even looks at it and she'll go berserk.

Guess I should wave bye bye to nice clean sofas.

I had problems with scrap metal enthusiasts rooting about and a couple of garage break inswhile The Ballast was in the house. Put them up and a 4" square CCTV warning sign up and had very few people where they shouldn't have been since.

I was looking at wiring a small ding-dong type door bell to a pir sensor with the bell box above the camera to get people to look up directly at the camera for a decent face shot.
