Whoa just had my renewal, somewhat more expensive than last year!

Can anyone suggest either reasonably priced companies to try or perhaps a classic policy with a particular company gor my 86 90. Not due till late December but usual route on comparisons are all much more expensive than 12 months ago.

Apparently we are all well accident prone, thieving crooks here in the black country :)

Nice 1, i'll give them a try tomorrow and see what they come up with. Any other suggestions more than welcome though. I'll let you know what i eventually get it for. Cheers

just tried them online. Im nearly 40 with no accidents claims convictions etc, have use of another vehicle ie its a second car.

Ready for it!

They gave me four quotes ranging from £1123 to £1703!!!!!!!!!

WTF think my renewal was a bargain after all:)

Try Peter Best. Same as yourself Landy is second car. They do classic insurance for over 10 years old with no discount for no claims bonus. Just paid £295.00 fully comp with an agreed value. Also covers for green lanes. Dont use internet phone them 01621 840400 and talk through your requirements. ie do you need to travel to work in it. Restrict your mileage to 5000 per year. Best of luck. I am also in West Midlands not far from J9 M6

I had a series 3 for a couple of years and I found the best Insurance was with the NFU but not their HQ or online site but rather the Uttoxexer office which seemed to have particularly good deals for older Landrovers. However when I recently bought a newer 10year old Defender 90 they admitted that they were no longer competitive and this time I went with London Victoria who gave me best online service

Lancaster £370 for a p38 as a second car no no clams 24 year old driver and a very crapy post cost

I ve always found NFU usefull (with claims as well) but agree with earlier post you need to speak to someone in a branch main mumber useless.

Adrian Flux for me, but i wont disclose my insurance amount as it's rather high due to being a ' new ' driver with no NCD, but they were the cheapest and the service is good.

thanks guys, plenty be going on with there, especially the tip to phone some and not use the net.

I'll update you all with the final result for sure

I pay £95 for my 1985 90 with all mods declared. Cant rememeber who that is with but if you want to know give me a shout.
