looked at mine today :) it looks good apart from that it's become another shead and is just storing all the parts that should be attached to it :( full pollybush kit going up on ebay this weekend tho :p

managed to rustle up enough spares to repair the N/S/F wheel barring/stub axle luckily had a few 24 spline bits and pieces lying about apart from the cv joint (thanks to jamesE for coming up with 1 ;) )
need to get some new hub rear seals for the other 3 corners and strip them down and clean um up and re-pack with new "blue grease"
will have to sorn the old bus for a month or i'll never get the jobs done as i'll want to just get it durdy every weekend :D

Now't to the Disco, but found a Corsa for the Mrs & stupidly/trying to be helpful agreed to my in-law's borrowing my beloved LR whilst their Frontera:doh: is off the road ... this is probably gonna come back & bite me on the arse good style:eek:

Now got the whole interior out was suprisingly easy, ready for better looking grey interior (was beige, grubby, dash peeling, no carpet, sand from hill n ditch a year ago STILL everywhere etc etc)

Next job, make a roof lining and carpet all round the rear, round the "90 rear window", and got a large roll of chequer plate style black rubber matting to cover the floor and up the ali u can see to half way, then its grey interior in, seats back in, and finishing touches...... never gonna be that easy though!!

Should i by-pass the spider while its all out???

I installed Rocksliders last week so this weekend I will be cleaning and painting the little area directly under the doors that used to have that foam stuff.

Made the mistake of thinking a 2 minute job of tightening a weeping radiator top hose bleed screw would only take 2 mins.....

Screw sheared off and when 'manipulated' fell in! However due to 3 weeks prediction of getting one here (replacement top hose) at a cost of nearly £100 decided to make up a new centre piece with bleed bolt... fortunately had a little bit of stainless pipe lying around, forgot what a joy it was to weld up stainless pipe and a nut.

Also very glad I had a spare 4L of coolant lying around as didnt fancy a 2.5 hr trip to get some....

welded hole by drivers footwell, thought i would get away with doing it from the inside, but ended up taking the o/s front wing off, should of done it that way to start with, chuffed as it's been bothering me for a while, all winter it's been making a wet patch in that place..next job small rust split in rear floor space

Sanded and re-painted my rear corner cappings.
Black hammerrite.
Looks ok, should buy me a few months till I replace them.

Yesterday I gave her an oil change, new air & oil filter's, jet-washed underneath to clear away any oil drips.

Took her for an MOT this morning ... and she passed:banana:, got an advisory for slight body mount corrosion though now't to be worried about according to the tester.

took mine for its mot passed on all items no advisory but failed on emmisions seems to either be worn or wrong jets and needles but carbs not original to engine their stromberg 175 cd if any one got any ideas trying to find service kits at the mo:doh:
