I disagree! We had a batch or two thermostats from britpart and ECP for various cars that were opening at about 60 degrees
On an Audi these throw up the EML light
Freelanders aren't as bad as they get rated IF:
A. You buy a diesel
B. You remove the rear prop shaft
C. It's well maintained
D. You don't open any windows
E. You have your own dealer level diagnostic kit :)
But I'd choose a td4 freelander over a p38 any day :)
Yes there is a risk, by having a split intercooler pipe you run the risk of he turbocharger over spooling which as others will tell you is a pretty penny indeed
Obviously for copyright purposes you'd have to buy a copy of the same disc you have from eBay 😉
But you could speak to your local dealer who will relieve you of £200~ for an update :)
Down by the gearbox is the vacuum reservoir for the VNT turbo, check all the vacuum pipes to and from it, it's the only thing they SHOULD have touched when they did the clutch
