Just bought a 2001 P38 4.6 Vogue

Took it apart and the drive rod has seperated from the body. I will try some aradite but not hopefull. The glass carrier was also broken but got one on Ebay for £3.00 so not too bad.

OK and thanks I will buy one of Fleabay. I will get just a normal one with manual dipping as they seem to £60+ for an automatic. I am assuming of course this can just pop on with the existing ball> is this true before I commit? Thanks

OK the mirror works side to side but the up and down does nothing other than make a wirring noise. Is this fixable or is it a new, well second hand, mirror full replacement. Thanks Will

My rear view mirror , Automatic type, is fogged up and the mirror is degrading at the edges. How easy is it to replace? Does is just pop off the ball joint or is it more complicated?

Yep no stat in housing where top hose meets manifold.....new stat fitted , according to garage, in bottom hose

Stat seems to open as required, going by feeling hoses, but have not teken out and tested in hot water to see what happens. According to the chap who did the heads the liners were not dropped and all flush with block deck.....perhaps as she has gone to red light on temp guage twice since heads...

Continuing the saga of my overheating problem i just noted that when engine running the top hose and heater hoses go very hard....cannot compress them with fingers at all. Does this point to something? Had hydro test done and according to the garage its OK. They havn't done a cylinder...
