Well in the past I did own a 90 with a 19J Engine and it was no problem.....this will not be used on motorways but for rural driving.

Does anyone have a PDF copy of 1986 to 1989 sales brochure for the Land Rover 90 & 110 ?
Or know where I can download/buy one ?
I am looking at potential project to restore a 90 with the 19J engine - but I would like to know what was originally available from Land Rover in terms of accessories...

I have a Discovery 300 Tdi engine from 1994 powering my Defender 110.
Question is - how often should you check the injectors or should you rebuild/renew after a certain mileage ?
I am aware that even a worn injector will ensure the engine will continue to run....
Can you just replace the...

Another Pic of the busted UJ - it appears to be made in the USA.
The diameter of the UJ is approx 93mm and the cup size is 28.6mm.

Reviving the post from 2010.
I fitted a double cardan propshaft to the front of my 110 and this resolved the issues - but now I have to replace a universal joint.
Problem is the dual cardan propshaft is not standard - it was bought originally from the Land Rover Orphanage but they are now...

My intercooler is finished (leaks oil and whistles) and I need a replacment.
I am having problems finding a 'normal' intercooler as those available from the NET as they are all larger/upgraded from standard.
How much should I pay for a new intercooler?
And does anyone know what boost...

Well I did fit a double cardon propshaft to the front - needed a bit of adjusting but it solved the problem.

Well - it was not the vaccum pump. It was the fuel injector pump which was dodgy. I replaced it with a rebuilt unit and the noise stopped and the damn car actually goes faster...
Still have not figured out why the old injector pump made that tapped noise......

I have a Tdi 300 installed in my 110.
About one year ago there was a loud clicking noise from the injector pump but the car drove normally. After 4 weeks the noise disappeared.
It would re-appear occaisonally for a couple of days and then fade away.
Last week the noise came back with a...

the bottom 2mm of the dipstick was covered in oil - that is surely too low?
-
Checked the oil this morning and found that the Tdi 300 dip stick reading was pretty low....the indicator light on the dashboard never did light up!
So I would like to fit an oil pressure gauge. Can anyone recommend which aftermarket oil gauge to fit? or should I go for an Land Rover item?
-
I dont think the UJ were knackered - I have put a new Tdi300 front propshaft but the problem remained. I have removed the front propshaft and the car is running well - albeit in rear wheel drive only.... don't the new defenders and discovery's have the double cardon propshaft in the front?

I fitted a Britpart 2inch lift kit with the adjusted radius arms etc...and then found that over 40mph there was a noticable vibration coming from transmission....
what actually happened is that due to the 2 inch lift the standard front propshaft angle to the axle is too acute and causes bad...

..oh yes - I forgot to mention that I had also fitted a adjustable panhard rod upfront which made NO difference...

Ok - the problem was related to the gas shock I used for the steering. It has so much pressure that it afffected the steering. I replaced it with a oil shock and the steering propblem resolved itself. Seems that you have to be careful what kind of shock absorber you fit to the steering system....
