Mm that's interesting, the guy who checked for codes (and found none) said he reset the throttle sensor, this was before new loom and egr.
I wonder if he has disturbed something.
I know this has been covered quite a bit, my problem is slightly different.
Starts spot on, tick over smooth as silk, as soon as you blip the throttle, tick over becomes lumpy.
No fault codes showing, replaced injector loom, and fitted egr bypass kit. Still have the problem.
She runs and pulls...
As above, and I think prices will come down a bit when the end of production frenzy is over.
Also try and drive as many as you can, if you have never driven one, you might be in for a culture shock.
Hiya mate, I feel your pain, but that question never was going to end well, lucky you didn't put it on "anything goes" forum ;) you would have got basted.
I can offer no real advise, as it is what others have said.
Just keep looking, might be simple like a grommet in the bulkhead.
Good luck.
Watch out for rear door lock/ barrel, this is a minefield. Speak to someone like craddock or paddock, or even other reputable suppliers. Does it have central locking for instance?
I would advise against these things from eBay.
When I look at series now, it breaks my heart to think what I did to the ones I owned in the 80s, when they were so cheap, they were almost disposable , you could pick up a series 2 for around £500.
