Attempted theft Defender Doncaster

Sunday night at 3am 4 youths black hoodies in an old dark small Peugeot managed to saw through the steering wheel on my defender td5 to get the crook lock off, seen by a neighbour who never called the police. They came back & were seen leaving at 5 am by same person, I must have disturbed them getting up for work. Luckily I've only got to find another steering wheel if any one can help. Defender TD5 2005 rebated at the back, 36 spline

Get a diskloc asap. The method of cutting the steering wheel wont work then

Thank god they didn't get it! Id get a pedal lock with solid sides too, great bit of kit!!

Got a pedal lock fitted, left the steering wheel off till I can get another this weekend, just getting an after market cheapy to put me on till I can find an original trawled he net rung breakers refurb shops etc all over the country can't find a 36 spline original. Will be looking at getting a disk lock as soon as finances OK. As for the neighbour can't get me head round it, share a drive with 2 single pensioners, old girl in the corner is 80 ish. The women who saw them lives over the road she didn't know what they were up to, they could have been robbing 1 of the houses, can't for the life of me understand why she didn't call the police or knock me up.

Maybe scared of repercussions? She might have thought they had seen her looking and got scared?
Old people are easily intimidated that's why pikeys target them etc.

It would be nice to fit a switchable airbag under drivers seat, so any illegal entry gets one up the RRRs
