Yes they have. Ive got a 92 defender in the workshop and its pretty much identical, main thing is the Santana is on leaf springs. All interior is the same. Seen some that are much different.

Fairly easy thing to do any home, i am a boat mechanic so got all the tools. Guessing gear box out on the bench then start to strip down and replace the bearing

I can move the shaft going into the steering box a from about 11-1 without the wheels moving at all

Had a quick look today, all track rods are all good and no play. The play is as the shaft goes into the steering box, anyone had experiences with this problem ?

Is it normally the layshaft bearing or the lay shaft?
