The guy i bought mine from has done that. 200tdi disco conversion. However, the air intake in the wing now runs direct to the heater box, and it works! Really well! There is instead a big old mushroom filter fitted to the hose that runs to the turbo...

I aint at college i'm at work. A "full time" college course is 3 days a week, and of those 3 days its 8am-3pm. With 1.5hrs break for breakfast and lunch. :confused: Going back to education from a full time career, its quite a shock!

Both very nice. I've started to repaint mine, just getting a quick going over for winter (away from tatty/rusty yellow to grey), done by brush/roller. However its cost £42 so far! And about £70 by the time its finished. Halfway there, just gotta do the front now :D

How much for a prop? Ask them just to change the uj's instead. Cost me 45 quid for my local landy independent to supply and fit both uj's to the front prop when I had the same noise. Fwiw, driving with that clunk causes no damage to anything else.

Yea the filter had spat a load of oil out. so I know the engine was running quite dry. When you try to start it, it sounds like struggling to turn over (like a dead battery)
