Now about to try Lancaster/footman James.

I've just spoken to Lancaster and they wanted £350 - I was paying £170 last year with Sureterm. Bloke at Lancaster said they only specialise in older LR vehicles - in fact, 20 + years old.

Im newby to Landrovers.. but i've finally bought a modified defender 90 (H reg) after always liking them. Lancaster insurance wanted nearly £800 TPFT :multiply: . The cheapest after shopping around for 3hrs, was through Tesco at about £360TPFT.. I was a bit miffed at these prices because im no boy racer, im 45 with 9 yrs ncb, clean license etc.
Then i thought i'd try Footman James, as i've experience with them with classic motorcycles. The only thing that was putting me off phoning them originally, is i know they dont offer ncd, but i thought sod it give em a try. I told them the modifications...300tdi motor, alloys, stainless exhaust, roof lights, roof rack, cd stereo etc, ... they told me i could have a classic insurance policy, unlimited milage, free breakdown cover, free legal cover, & fully comp insurance for £121 !!! come again!!! £121 !!! err yes please too damn right i'll have it !
It goes to show it pays to shop around.. but Footman James has got my vote ! :clap2:
