To save money have a go at doing it yourself. Take your time & you wont have any spare time to produce more kids. I have 4 myself so I got a TV after all jobs on Disco done:)

I start mine on gas every day,no problems apart from a little lumpy for a mile or so. dont use petrol at all apart from when I shut it down, I switch to petrol give it a couple of revs then switch it off. If I dont do this & start it back up on gas within 5 or 10 mins it may sometimes backfire...

Yes £410. I fitted one to mine too. Best looking steel bumper in my opinion. Better than the poxy plastic one which would cost even more to replace (inc lpainting & fogs etc).

If it lights up around your ignition switch on the steering column when opening doors or unlocking car then the BCU is sending a signal out ok but youmay have a broken wire to the courtesy lights. There is a thread on this somewhere here on Landyzone

Dont hold it out too long the tatters will snatch it out of your hand

Its steel $ shouldn't even be rusty at all unless its had repairs done to it & hasn't had the correct coating & protection on it

So on your logbook for your Diesel car does it say Fuel type= Gasoil or does it say Heavy Oil? All Im trying to point out is that the BMW ran on Heating oil no probs. Do you think he was telling porkies & saying it ran on Kerosene no probs cus I would doubt that 100%.too but dont shoot him down...

Heating Oil is RED DIESEL

I only read his last post about heating oil & as I said heater our heaters ran on heavy oil. Did he mention that he heard of someone running a car on central heating Kerosene or Gas or did he say OIL?
