Bad news = Options!?

After trying to get my money back on My TD5 nightmare, I have got to the point now where i am stuck with it. No refund and Not fixed.

So the question is now

Do i try and get the head fixed (Cost? How Much work?)

Or do I strip off the parts and scrap her?

Sell her as is? (Anyone interested?)

I am at a loss either way and Am starting to struggle financially after all i have had to fork out.

What's wrong with it?

presume heads cracked or gaskets gone, not exactly a hard job to swap a head over

Where in Wales are you ? May be able to give you a hand swapping the head, for a bacon butty or 2, but that depends how good ye missus looks .....I meant cooks........
Did the garage have the head off ? have they said exactly what the problem is ?

If you decide you want to sell as is, how much you looking at

I believe the head is cracked, but Garage didn't take head off, although they tried to say they had.
They said they have changed injector seals, but still there is a misfire and alot of back pressure.

I'm Near Caerphilly / Merthyr tidfil.

I wouldna be scrapping a TD5 over a cracked head. Its a job with a cost, but not the end of the world.

I don't like the idea of scrapping her, but wife + 5 Kids = Lack of money So running out of options.

To save money have a go at doing it yourself. Take your time & you wont have any spare time to produce more kids. I have 4 myself so I got a TV after all jobs on Disco done

Yeah but you've got to buy another motor? Spend a grand on a new cylinder head and you'll be up and running again.

You could probably get one cheaper if you shopped around. Just to give you an example of cost.

The £230 refurb option on that link seems like a good idea if money is tight!
