lumention is the crappy electronic pointless ignition,theres a silver box that sits on the inner wing with a baseplate in the dizzy.i ripped it off and got an oe spec dizzy and points put in and timed up.it started and ran fine but then the hose from the rad to the engine sprang a leak on a join...

my trucks been sat in yard since about dec o6.first it was the dizzy the lumention packed up so i had to travel from gloucestershire to bicester to find a points distributer,had it fitted it was running fine then the hose from the rad to the engine sprang a leak this was 2 diffrent diameters...

yeah the hose is rubber type on bottom right of rad, or left hand side when stood looking in it comes up squishes under a heavyduty alternator bracket then goes to engine.and its different diameters each end so probably have to get a tapered one custom made.

my 62, series 2 has a 3.5 v8 the pipe broke and i need a new one i bought a v8 disco pipe but it still leaked the diameters are 2 different sizes the old pipe has a ali sleeve inside at the middle i still kept this bit. tried emailing conversion companies and they dont respond also tried quick...

nah need wife to cook and look after the 5 boys.its not a rr its a 1962,88" series 2a.and it wont be cheep as im trying to get a ticket on it so i can get as much as poss for it.:D

advice needed my v8 series2a is sat on drive with an annoying water leak from the rubber pipe from rad to engine,which is 2 different sized pipes spliced together.it has a 3 speed auto box fitted.now my missus needs something to learn in but the v8 is too powerful ,do i sell truck as is or is it...

if you dont mind sweeping up the valves when they drop on the floor.:rolleyes:

every landy ive come across with a 2.6 has been laid up with a dropped valve, so i cant see why anyone would want to choose one for their landy,either go for a v8,or go for a diesel.

reminds me of the jack up kit we used to fit on the yamaha dt to raise the rear suspension.

is there something different about the leafspring shackles as well.is their something in between.the shackle and the spring?.
