Hi guys. Just fitted a 200TDi to a friend's Defender from a 2.5N/A. Engine conversion is all done and the engine seems to run sweet on the spot. Took it out for a drive and to start with it boosts very nicely, you can hear the turbo spooling up and it feels much nicer than the old N/A. Only...

The lamp is easily turned off by removing the bulb mind ;) Hmmm, may look for the relay in the footwell then, but was hoping to just splice straight off the wires behind the wheel to a push button.

Got my Discovery booked in for an MOT tomorrow morning, been doing lots of work on suspension and now the horn's stopped working and the SRS light is on the dash. I know these are both now failures, I also know (or rather am largely sure) that the issue is with the contact ring behind the wheel...

I meant the main body of the snorkel Steve, so you can mount it a little further away from the vehicle, if for example a rollcage was to fit inbetween. Here's a comparison shot.

To get a Defender you've got to start at around £2500 for TDi power, £3000 upward for one that's in good condition. But why would you consider selling 1 or 2 Discos to get another?

Alot of the 'mushroom top' ones also have the benefit of having flexible sections, allowing them to be positioned a little differently, which is handy if you either have, or are planning to have an exterior roll cage.
