all sorted i now have a keyless ignition sounds nice and modern eh thankgod it aint got a steering lock , must hide switch tho or she might go walk about only took 15 mins to wire thanks dave

thanks a great help, ave located a white wire on fuse box that goes to ign switch when you put 12v to wire ign lights come on and vehicle starts great but no heater or fuel gauge will get my head round that one cant be far off eh thanks again dave

series 3 diesel but she was originally a petrol so ign switch will be petrol thanks

help please lads , last year ign switch went tits up wouldnt start old girl up the spring back mechanism went so fitted a push button starter works great now and has done for a year turn key on get ign lights on push button bang she starts , now coming home tonight ign lights didnt come on so...

thanks for reply i connected to solenoid pos stud not spade terminal , i never suspected solenoid was faulty each time she started the point on the key when engine turned over was getting further away each time , should i have connected to spade not stud terminal thanks dave

hello lads anyone help wired ign to a push button one wire to a 12v supply one to pos side of bulkhead solenoid no joy , didnt want to go near ign switch as u/s as far as starting is concerned hence button ,car has a ammeter fitted so wires that were on solenoid now supply ammeter with info she...

hope someone can help tried wiring my series 3 to a push button start a 12v lead to one side of pb other side put on to pos side of bulkhead solenoid, dead as, ignition was on, the vehicle has a ammeter fitted so lot of wires are of solenoid to supply ammeter with info what am i missing ,didnt...

thanks great when you say take the starter feed to other side of button take it you mean feed from solenoid to ign switch there is a wire from solenoid going to ign switch would it make sense to to direct this wire straight to push button and a supply from ign switch to button thanks very much

hello someone out there must ave fitted a push button starter , when key is turned to start s3 2.5 d the point that she turns over is getting further and further away so want to fit a button start is it just a matter of transffering wires from ign switch also from solenoid to button thanks lads...

if im not mistaken oil from overdrive unit is entering gearbox series 3 is that possible am always topping up od unit thought i would check box level i had to get a container to take surplus out any ideas lads thanks dave
