push button

hello someone out there must ave fitted a push button starter , when key is turned to start s3 2.5 d the point that she turns over is getting further and further away so want to fit a button start is it just a matter of transffering wires from ign switch also from solenoid to button thanks lads dave

when you say the point she turns you mean that its turning further around
if so thats wear in the barrel
all you gotta do is take a live from the ignition switch and then take the wire from the ignition switch that is the starter feed and conect that to the other side of the switch
so now that switch will only be live when the ignition is on
just make sure you dont us a latch switch or you may run the starter once the engine has started also if the switch is knocked when the engine is running then the starter will engage and can burn out if not noticed
atleast with a momentry switch its only running when its pressed

thanks great when you say take the starter feed to other side of button take it you mean feed from solenoid to ign switch there is a wire from solenoid going to ign switch would it make sense to to direct this wire straight to push button and a supply from ign switch to button thanks very much
