Hi, I have a series 3 running 7.50 x 16 tyres with early Range Rover diffs, I’ve done a quick search and Google gives me a different result each time for Range Rover ones but would anyone be able to advise on the correct colour/number of teeth for the speedo drive gear for this set up? Thank you

Can't you fill it through the breather? I fitted range rover diffs which was a brilliant idea until I tried to put the oil in! I think I looked up the exact amount either on here or in the haynes manual.

I'd rather take it to someone that wants the job, just wanted to be doubly sure about the mot stuff before I tell them where to shove it!

My usual garage have let me down on my MOT, booked it up right at the beginning of august for the MOT and to have whatever work that needed doing done, plus a few other bits for the 12th of september in the hope i'd have it for my trailer test on the 26th and at the latest today as it runs out...

get shot of this.. and a 300tdi disco, mechanically I've had it to bits and replaced lots of stuff, recon gearbox etc. It's a dog to look at, BUT I like it, it's comfy, it does the job, it's cheap and I'll get a few more years lumping a trailer about with it.. or lumber meself with a loan...

The gears have always been sticky on the disco but drove a series every day for 3 years so not worried too much.. I've done a search but can't quite find what I'm after but please feel free to point me in the right direction! 2nd gear has always been problematic when cold and a small clunk...

I'd change the propshafts and see what that does

I've had a similar problem like that, was the starter motor sticking.

This... although I'd never stop the blasted series with a couple of horses in the back..!
