Hi I struggling to find the correct nozzle opening pressure for a series 3 2.25 1979. The injectors are being reconditioned to 130 but still causing problems just wanted to check that was the correct pressure. Thanks

just an update, i managed to find a clutch plate and what i thought was the pressure plate but when we opened it it was just slightly not the right pressure plate the bolts holes would only line up 2 holes and the rest where then out of line. I had to get the LR out of the work shop before the...

there is a lot of oil leaking from i think my transfer gear box and in general the engine a bit. So i think that is quite possibly the problem. Thor1950 - Im a novice with about -8-9 months of experience with land rovers and cars in general. I dont pretend to be anything else. Fixing old land...

ok i think all was in order. However there was one head bolts i couldn't get to as the nut on the injector was spinning so was only set to a torque of 40 not 90. But these stem oil seals seem to be the most likely........ Ill check in out. Thanks

engine running fast without increase in speed. Filters/sedimator have been checked. Maybe oil contamination in fly wheel/clutch? Or new Clutch needed? Does this mean im going to need to take the gear box out? Is there anyway to test before i take the gear box out? Thanks

I have just refitted piston rings and con rod plus reconditioned the injectors. Ran it and all seemed ok then i reset the tappet (0.25mm) and the blue smoke seems to be back??! Could it be if i have set the clearances to tight the values are not closing properly? Am i right in thinking blue...

hi guys are you still there? I am also trying to get my servo working at the minute there are no tubes at all. but from this information i can see that one comes from the servo, one comes from the the air column thing on the top of the engine but i cant see where the 'bottom of the T' goes...
