Very muddy looking. Last time I tried some near haddenham the puddles were like bomb holes! I'm gonna run mine in at yarwell in a few weeks since getting the engine going again

Only started raining proper later in the afternoon, yeh it was a giggle but you really need road tyres to have the best fun.. A88 had way more fun than anyone else.. not fair! :)

Bloody hell you guys were lucky. I wasted half a day trekking to Southend/Shoeburyness looking do a massive green lane by the sea. Only to get there realise its a MOD base with no access to the lane and to make it worse the rain just got heavier. So I just headed back home

yep me and mate managed to get muddy. you looked like you had gone to the shops lol need to get my generals fitting properly as it was a bit hairy not having any steering control near to some of those ditches

yeah that was surprising when you said you only had tyres I thought they were going to be boring lanes that I could take my cav down but you did better than my D1. really need my tyres sorted so I'm not shown up again lol

What's the matter with you rain is a good thing, snow is good too so man up.. :D

Nah not lucky, the lanes we originally headed for were shut for the winter (had some duff advice basically) but we got the map out and found a decent alternative.. should come with us next time! ;)

I know.. it just plodded through everything, I should sell the off-roader and build a laner.. :)

I think my freelander suprised everyone (even me).
Yeh and I had the rope ready and everything too.. damn you and your uber-capable Freelander! :D

Both them 90 trucks were unstoppable!

this is my D1 with it's previous owner

and with the generals on

you see hat I mean about them catching, they are close even without any articulation

Im sure you will sort it soon bud, you done well seeing as you were running road tyres.

the first hole was me going easy and trying to drive where I wanted but that didn't work so I had to change my driving style to get my truck going where I wanted and find the ruts to follow that wouldn't get me in trouble but that last one I had no hope I tried getting out the rut where you did but just din't have the traction. generals are going on regardless next time

yeah the body will get a lift just need the cash and time then I can get bigger tyres to make the diffs clear a bit more as they were taking a battering and probaby didn't help my traction issues

Im going to lift the freelander too before our next outing, hows the snorkel?

repaired it was cut and 'repaired' with drain pipe when I got given it and the elbow under the top was just 2 bits of gutter pipe cut at an angle and riveted together and it was the rivets that got pulled though the pipe so I have just redone the rivets for now and will make something a bit more complete and sturdy. maybe a proper elbow bonded on if I can get the right angle if not I'll have to cut and shut something
